The Heat Goes On

Looks like the fishing may be heating up right along with the water and air temps. Mud and grass flat still holding good fish. In fact we had a boat slam fifteen minutes after starting our first wade. Ray (pictured) had a great day today picking up a 24" trout on a topwater on his second cast of the day. He went on to catch several more solid trout over 20" including the biggest of the day a nice 27 1/2" Big Girl.

Found good fish on a wind blown shoreline around some shallow rocks. There was very little boat traffic today probably due to the heat and wind. Glad I had grinders today.

We had 5 reds and a flounder to add to the box. Various topwaters were working quite well early. After that, plum/chartreuse, rootbeer/red glitter Saltwater Assassins and Morning glory/chartreuse TTK's along with the usual red/white Sea Shad all saw action.
